Fashion, Diamond, Engagement, Rings, Emerald

There are so many different diamond engagement rings that a person can choose from. There are different diamond cuts, different metals, and thousands of different settings for engagement rings. Some engagement rings have just one diamond, while others may have three or many more diamonds. If you are at all confused about diamond engagement rings, here are some of the most common diamond cuts and what they look like. Round Brilliant: A round cut diamond is exactly as it sounds. It is cut into a round, circle-shape. This is the most popular cut for diamond engagement rings and is seen as a classic style. Many people consider this the ideal cut for a diamond as it is the easiest to cut and attain maximum brilliance. Princess: The princess cut diamond engagement ring is becoming quite trendy nowadays. A princess cut looks like a square with all of the sides of equal length. It is a fairly new cut that is definitely catching on with diamond engagement ring buyers. Emerald: An emerald cut diamond appears like a rectangle with two sides cut longer than the other two sides. It also has rounded or cut edges rather than having square edges. Heart: A heart shaped diamond adds a nice touch in diamond engagement rings. The diamond is actually cut into a shape that looks exactly like a heart with the cleft in the middle. When choosing a heart cut diamond, be sure that you get a skilled cutter as it is not the easiest cut and can sometimes lessen the value of a diamond if done incorrectly. Oval: The oval diamond is quite close to the shape of a round one, but it differs in that it is more of an ellipse than a circle. It is one of the newer cuts, with it only being invented in the 1960's. These are the most popular cuts for diamond engagement rings, and there are a few others that you can choose from as well.
